Fear

Somebody famous (maybe Nelson Mandela) said, "The only thing we need to fear is fear itself."

So true! our brain betrays us in this modern world. We really don't know what to fear and how our brain mixes things up at times.

Deep down, we want acceptance and to know that we are gonna be okay. That might look a little different for everyone but that's the root fear. It may revolve more about money for some, relationships for others, creativity acceptance (expression), but we all want it.

With so many fearful messages it can put us into a panic, or worse yet, reactivity. It's difficult to slow down and think "what am I doing?" "am I reacting or planning/strategizing right now?"

In order to really manage fear, we need to train our brains (I didn't say it involves no effort) to FOCUS on what we want, NOT what we don't want. Because if we let fear rule, it becomes a PREDICTIVE story that then often either comes true or creates some other disaster in our lives because our dominant vibration is fear.

That is what the author of that quote is speaking of. Fear is something that needs action taken, but if we are just living story after story, then there is no action and the Fear is living us. We want to be mindful, and resourceful, and to be able to talk back to the parts of us that create fear, as if they are children, to be validated and comforted but not rulers of us.
